“Orpheus X”

For once I get to be not in the driver’s seat, musically, just a member of the band, playing rock-and-roll opera with a bunch of great musicians for this amazing piece. I wrote the lead tenor role of my first opera for Rinde, he came to sing and play with me in Mr. Wau-Wa, now I get to be his sideman – that’s the way it’s supposed to work…and I first worked with Robert 27 years ago – tempus sure fugit…
