Baseless Rumors @ Lethe Lounge, Jan. 23rd 2024

World premiere of “Nights at the Circus” adaptation for Chamber Orchestra of Menorca, Teatro Principal, Mahon, Nov. 17th, 2023

I’m thrilled to have my music played on the island by these exceptional players, Nov. 17-20.  Two performances in the Teatro Principal in Mahon, a jewel of an opera house (one of the first built in Spain, in 1829), and two in the Teatro des Born in Ciutadella.  Based very loosely on the book by Angela Carter, I adapted parts of my original full orchestral score for nine of the OCIM players – a small ensemble as they shared the stage with a trapeze artist and a clown with a giant wheel and several ladders! (Hotel Iocandi, fabulous performers..It’s been a joy working with them all.
